Following the Dow’s Record-Breaking Closing, Stock Futures are Flat

Early Tuesday saw no change in stock futures as the Dow Jones Industrial Average set a new closing high.

Dow-related futures increased 23 points, or 0.05%. While the Nasdaq 100 futures edged up 0.1%, the S&P 500 futures stayed close to the flatline.

President-elect Donald Trump demanded on Monday night a 25% tariff on commodities from Canada and Mexico and an extra 10% tax on imports from China.

He has already stated that he will apply a 20% maximum tariff to all imports and an extra 60% minimum duty to Chinese goods.
