Tuesday saw a small increase in U.S. stock futures as the Nasdaq Composite and S&P 500 attempted to capitalise on their session-long record-breaking performances.
Dow Jones Industrial Average futures increased by 0.1%, or 53 points. Futures for the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq-100 increased by 0.2% and 0.4%, respectively.
As investors anticipated important inflation data and earnings announcements that are expected later this week, the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite ended Monday’s trading session at all-time highs once more.
As investors become more confident that the Federal Reserve would soon begin to loosen monetary policy due to easing pricing pressures and slowing growth, the S&P 500 index continued to rise.
However, other investors are advising them to increase their exposure because they believe a downturn is imminent.
