Friday saw a small increase in stock futures after the Dow Jones Industrial Average had its worst session in almost a year.
Futures linked to the Dow of 30 stocks were up 0.1%, or 41 points. Futures for the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq 100 increased by 0.3% apiece.
Chipmaker Nvidia gained more than 9% during Thursday’s trading session, driven by positive forecasts, results that above expectations, and a 10-for-1 stock split.
As the apparent leader of the so-called “Magnificent Seven,” Nvidia has emerged as a significant barometer for the overall market.
