The S&P 500 reached a fresh all-time high, with all three primary indices closing Thursday’s trading session in positive territory, bouncing back from earlier losses experienced during the week. This milestone marks the 11th record high achieved by the 500-stock benchmark this year.
The broad stock index saw a gain of 0.58%, finishing at 5,029.73, while the Nasdaq Composite increased by 0.30% to close at 15,906.17. The Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 348.85 points, representing a 0.91% rise, to settle at 38,773.12.
Tesla and Meta Platforms stood out with gains of 6% and 2%, respectively. Wells Fargo’s shares also climbed by 7% following the lifting of a significant penalty by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
Throughout the week, investors have been evaluating the current state of the U.S. economy, with various indicators providing mixed signals thus far.
