Stocks dropped on Thursday as investors dumped riskier assets and concerns about the US economy’s trajectory increased ahead of Friday’s important labour data.
The Nasdaq Composite was trading at the flatline after rising by more than 1% earlier in the morning.
The S&P 500 dropped 0.4%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 270 points, or 0.6%. Arun Sai, senior multi-asset strategist at Pictet Asset Management, said, “We’re in the middle of another mini growth scare.”
