Tuesday saw a rise in the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite following a sell-off in the massive chipmaker Nvidia.
The Nasdaq gained 1.26% to settle at 17,717.65, while the broad market S&P 500 gained 0.39% to close at 5,469.30. Three days of falls were ended by both indexes.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 39,112.16, down 299.05 points, or 0.76%. Shares of Nvidia increased by almost 6.7%.
The stock saw a more than 6% decline during the previous session, which was the largest one-day decline since April 19, when it lost 10%.
After experiencing losses on Monday, a number of big-cap tech companies also recovered. Alphabet and Meta Platforms both made more than 2% progress.
