As Nvidia, the darling of artificial intelligence, continued to rise to new heights and surpass Microsoft as the most valuable public corporation, the S&P 500 set a new record.
The Nasdaq Composite gained 0.2%, and the broad market index increased by 0.3%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased by 0.1%, or 54 points.
“You see investors trying to ride this train as long as they can with Nvidia and the usual suspects, but now you got those second-tier names” involved. “I sense a rotation out of the leaders for this quarter, but money isn’t abandoning the market.”
