Ron Baron Invests an Additional $1 Billion in SpaceX IPO, Bringing His Total Stake to $25 Billion

Early investor in SpaceX, Ron Baron, chose not to cash out during the company’s impressive stock-market debut instead, he increased his investment.

Baron Capital purchased an additional $1 billion worth of SpaceX shares during the company’s initial public offering, bringing its total investment in Elon Musk’s aerospace firm to approximately $25 billion.

This move reflects strong confidence from one of SpaceX’s earliest and most committed institutional supporters, even as the company’s valuation has soared to $2 trillion.

He expressed optimism about the company’s future, stating that they are likely to generate hundreds of billions of dollars.

He emphasized that what SpaceX has achieved is unmatched and that Elon Musk is at least a decade ahead of others in satellite technology, rocket manufacturing, and network development.
