S&P 500 Edges Up as Yields Decline, Nasdaq Gains from Chip Stocks

The S&P 500 experienced a modest increase on Tuesday as Treasury yields declined for a second consecutive day.

The rally in semiconductor stocks contributed to a boost in the Nasdaq Composite.

The overall index rose by 0.2%, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 0.5%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average remained relatively unchanged.

Bond yields continued to decrease, with the yield on the 10-year Treasury note dropping to 4.658%.

This decline followed recent reports that the Treasury Department might utilize its $1 trillion General Account to fund bond repurchases.
