S&P 500 Ends At Its Highest Point

On Monday, the S&P 500 increased to its highest level in 13 months as traders predicted the Federal Reserve will opt against raising interest rates when it makes its policy announcement on Wednesday.




The S&P 500 gained 0.93% to close at 4,338.93, with gains edging higher all day long. The benchmark rose above its August high and hit its highest levels since late April 2022. In addition, it reached its highest point since April 2022 as the Nasdaq Composite rose 1.53% to close the day at 13,461.92. To end the day at 34,066.33, the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 189.55 points, or 0.56%.
