S&P 500 Falls, Dow Drops 300 Points, and Not Much is Working Outside of Nvidia

Treasury yields were rising on Wednesday, which threatened to wipe out one of the few remaining gains for investors as stocks plummeted.

Nvidia is a company that is leading the AI market. The 1% decline in the Dow Jones Industrial Average was 387 points.

Notwithstanding the 0.4% decline in the Nasdaq Composite, the S&P 500 fell 0.6%. Even though Nvidia had flirted with negative territory earlier in the day, it ended the day 1% ahead.

Since its explosive results announcement last week, the megacap tech name has increased during every trading session, exhibiting a total post-earnings jump of around 20%. After cutting its second-quarter sales forecast, American Airlines saw a more than 15% decline in stock price.

Southwest Airlines experienced a 4% decline in sympathy. Conversely, Dick’s Sporting Goods had a more than 14% increase thanks to solid profits and updated projections.
