Friday saw a little decline in S&P 500 futures as the benchmark for the entire market momentarily crossed above 5,500 for the first time.
Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 25 points, or 0.1%, while those on the S&P 500 edged down by 0.2%.
The advancer Nasdaq 100 futures fell by almost 0.2%. On Thursday, the S&P 500 ended the day 0.25% down.
The broad market index rose as much as 0.34% to reach 5,505.53 at the day’s peak. After reaching an all-time high earlier in the day, the Nasdaq Composite also experienced a decline of 0.79%.
Outperforming all three major averages, the Dow with 30 stocks saw its greatest day of the month rise by almost 300 points, or 0.77%.
