In an attempt to capitalise on their record-breaking performances from the previous session, the Nasdaq Composite and the S&P 500 saw a modest increase in futures for the index on Tuesday.
Futures for the S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 increased by 0.1% and 0.2%, respectively. The futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average were close to flat.
As investors anticipated the release of important inflation data and earnings reports later this week, the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite completed Monday’s trading session at all-time highs once more.
Investors are growing more confident that the Federal Reserve will soon begin to loosen monetary policy as the S&P 500 continues to rise in response to decreasing growth and lessening pricing pressure.
Some, however, are advising investors to increase their exposure because they believe a correction is imminent.
