Stock futures declined on Tuesday as traders monitored updates from Nvidia’s artificial intelligence conference and awaited the Federal Reserve’s two-day policy meeting in Washington.
S&P 500 futures were down 0.2%, Dow Jones Industrial Average futures slipped by 0.1%, and Nasdaq-100 futures dropped by 0.2%.
The S&P 500 saw a positive turn on Monday, ending a three-day losing streak.
Nvidia, a leading player in artificial intelligence, saw a 1% decrease in premarket trading following its first-ever GTC Conference. During the conference, CEO Jensen Huang revealed Nvidia’s newest AI chip, Blackwell, which is being hailed as a more powerful successor to its existing chips that drive various AI functions.
Despite the premarket dip, Nvidia’s stock has seen an impressive gain of over 78%.
