Monday saw a modest decline in U.S. stock futures following the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite’s third consecutive winning week, ahead of this week’s important inflation data. Dow Jones Industrial Average futures fell 0.04%, or 16 points.
Futures for the S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 both saw a minor 0.1% decline. Following the announcement by a Chinese regulator that it is looking into the AI chip trendie for possible violations of the nation’s antimonopoly law, Nvidia’s stock fell in the premarket.
Both the tech-heavy Nasdaq and the broad market S&P 500 closed at new highs on Friday, up 3.3% and 1% for the week, respectively, last week. The Dow, which ended the week down 0.6%, was the only underperformed.
