Stock Futures Rise as Oil Prices Fall Following U.S.-Iran Pause

U.S. stock futures climbed early Monday as oil prices fell and fighting between the U.S. and Iran paused over the weekend.

Dow futures rose 495 points, while S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 futures gained 0.94% and 1.58%, respectively.

Lower Middle East tensions pushed Brent crude down nearly 5% to about $92 per barrel. U.S. crude also dropped more than 5% to $84.84.

Investors are now preparing for major technology company earnings and an important Federal Reserve meeting later this week.

However, geopolitical risks remain after Ukraine attacked an Iranian commercial vessel in the Caspian Sea, leading Iran to condemn the strike.
