Stocks declined on Tuesday as trade intensified in September ahead of a week cut short by holidays.
While the S&P 500 fell 0.3%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.15%. The Nasdaq was behind, declining by 0.3%.
Goldman Sachs reduced its recession odds to 15% over the long holiday weekend and predicted the Federal Reserve won’t raise interest rates at its policy meeting later this month.
