Stocks gained on Friday as Wall Street digested earnings from big-name technology companies and a less-than-expected July jobs report. Yields have also retreated from recent highs.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 40 points, or 0.1%. The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite each gained more than 0.1%.
