Wall Street is getting ready for a busy week of corporate earnings, and on Monday, stocks increased.
0.1%, or 58 points, were added to the Dow Jones Industrial Average. In terms of gains, the Nasdaq Composite gained 0.3% and the S&P 500 increased 0.2%.
Major market indexes have fallen due to the current slowdown in the IT trade; yet, many market strategists find encouragement in the way that certain sectors, such as small caps, are catching up.
Even though there has been some volatility in the last few weeks due to increased participation, Callie Cox, chief market strategist at Ritholtz Wealth Management, believes that long-term investors will ultimately benefit from this narrative as it develops.
