Stock futures rose early Monday after reports that President Donald Trump may delay some tariffs originally set for April 2, easing fears of a full-blown trade war.
Dow Jones futures gained 305 points (0.7%), S&P 500 futures climbed 0.9%, and Nasdaq 100 futures increased by 1.2%.
This follows a positive week for stocks, with the S&P 500 ending Friday on a high note and avoiding a fourth consecutive weekly loss.
Despite this, investors remain wary as the April 2 deadline for retaliatory tariffs approaches, which Trump has said will target countries imposing duties on U.S. goods.
