Meta introduces Muse Code, its first coding agent, as part of the company’s effort to compete with leading AI labs like Anthropic and OpenAI.
Muse Code is the newest major addition from AI head Alexandr Wang, who leads Meta Superintelligence Labs and manages foundation model development.
Wang, who joined in June last year, is central to CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s initiative to revitalize Meta’s struggling AI strategy.
Similar to Anthropic’s Claude and OpenAI’s Codex, Muse Code simplifies app development by providing a unified user interface and managing a fleet of AI-powered digital agents to support the software creation process.
