After Cybercab Robotaxi Reveal is Unimpressive, Tesla Shares Fall 6% in Premarket Trading

Tesla’s stock fell on Friday after investors were not impressed by the company’s much anticipated robotaxi event, where CEO Elon Musk introduced the company’s Cybercab self-driving concept car. At 8:35 a.m. ET on Friday, premarket trading saw a 5.9% decline in Tesla stock.

Tesla introduced its Cybercab concept car on Thursday night at the company’s “We, Robot” event. The vehicle is a low, silver two-seater without steering wheels or pedals, and it reveals the company’s goals to build a fleet of autonomous vehicles and robots. When the car is launched, it is intended to be able to drive itself.

Though he would not disclose the location of the automobiles’ manufacturing, Musk stated that the business aims to begin building the Cybercab before 2027.

The price of a Tesla Cybercab, Along with that, he stated that he anticipates Tesla’s Model 3 and Model Y electric cars to be available for “unsupervised FSD” in Texas and California by the end of the next year.
