Apple shareholders showed that they still value the company’s diversity initiatives on Tuesday by rejecting a request to end its Inclusion & Diversity program.
During the annual shareholder meeting of Apple, the National Centre for Public Policy Research’s proposal was rejected.
Apple was pressured to end its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) program. The businesses like Microsoft, Zoom, Alphabet, and Meta were reversing their diversity initiatives.
On the grounds that diversity programs might be discriminatory and that the compliance risk jeopardises Apple’s financial stability, it asked that Apple discontinue its program, rules, department, and objectives.
