As investors await important inflation statistics to provide more hints about the sustainability of this year’s market run, stock futures were flat on Monday.
Expectations include earnings from a number of significant consumer and banking heavyweights.
Dow Jones Industrial Average futures traded slightly over the flatline, while S&P 500 futures saw a slight decline. There was a 0.1% decline in Nasdaq-100 futures.
As hope that reducing inflation and any pockets of weakness in the economy later this year could result in a Federal Reserve interest rate decrease continues, the S&P 500 is coming off its fourth positive week in the previous five.
