Google demonstrated its “lightest and most efficient artificial intelligence models” during its annual developer conference. The business unveiled Gemini 1.5 Flash, the newest model in the Gemini series, at Google I/O on Tuesday.
Google claimed in a blog post that the new model can extract data from big papers and tables, caption photos and videos, and summarise talks rapidly.
Demis Hassabis, the CEO of Google DeepMind, stated at a press briefing, “We heard from developers that they wanted something faster and even more cost-effective.”
In light of the fact that the new tools provide users with more innovative and creative methods to access online content than standard web search, Google finds particular significance in the reveal, which coincides with tech companies’ increased focus on generative AI in their product development and rollouts.
