As the Israel-Iran Crisis Intensifies and Retail Sales Decline, Dow Futures Drop 200 Points

Tuesday’s stock futures saw a decline as investors combed over the most recent Middle East events, including the ongoing crisis between Iran and Israel.

Weak retail sales data was likewise digested by Wall Street. Dow Jones Industrial Average-related futures fell 200 points, or 0.5 percent.

Together with Nasdaq 100 futures, S&P 500 futures saw a 0.5% decline. President Donald Trump declared in a Truth Social post on Monday night that “Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran.”

In order to handle the Middle East problem, Trump also departed the G7 summit in Canada early.
