As investors worried about a potential escalation in global trade hostilities and anticipated testimony by Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell, U.S. stock futures saw a decline Tuesday.
Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.2%, or 115 points. S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 futures saw declines of 0.3% and 0.6%, respectively.
Prior to appearing before the House Financial Services Committee the next day, the central bank chief will speak to the Senate Banking Committee on Tuesday. At 10 a.m. ET, Powell will make prepared remarks to kick off both programs.
