Early Tuesday saw minimal movement in stock futures as traders attempted to rebound from a sell-off triggered by fresh trade announcements from President Donald Trump.
Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 66 points, or 0.2%. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 0.2%, while S&P 500 futures increased slightly.
Following Trump’s posting of more letters late Monday afternoon, the number of nations subject to high tariffs on August 1 increased to 14.
The nations affected by the new duties include South Africa, South Korea, Thailand, Tunisia, Bangladesh, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Serbia.
