Wednesday saw a sharp increase in stock futures as Wall Street ended a three-day losing run. Investors sought to recover a larger portion of their earlier-week losses.
Futures linked to the Dow Jones Industrial Average saw an increase of 327 points, or 0.8%. Futures on the S&P 500 increased by 1.2%, while those on the Nasdaq 100 increased by 1.4%.
After a productive session, Wall Street is in high spirits. The 30-stock Dow gained about 300 points, while the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite both had 1% increases.
Fears of a recession and the unwinding of the yen carry trade contributed to Monday’s worst session for the Dow and the S&P 500 overall since 2022.
