Following Wall Street’s three-day losing run, stocks surged on Wednesday. Investors attempted to recover a larger portion of their earlier-week losses as well.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased by 0.7%, or 275 points, during trading. The Nasdaq Composite increased 1.9%, while the S&P 500 fell 1.4%. Advanced Micro Devices, Nvidia, and Meta Platforms all saw increases of more than 2%.
Microsoft, Apple, and Tesla all saw increases that day. As a result of the server company’s fiscal fourth-quarter earnings falling short of analyst projections, Super Micro Computer’s shares fell 14%. After releasing its poor second-quarter earnings, Airbnb saw a 14% decline.
