The Federal Reserve’s annual stress test was passed by major banks, which helped the Dow Jones Industrial Average rise on Thursday. A revised upward GDP print also allayed some Wall Street concerns about a coming recession.
Major bank names helped the 30-stock index rise 269.76 points, or 0.8%, to close at 34,122.42. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite ended flat at 13,591.33, while the S&P 500 gained 0.45% to settle at 4,396.44.
