Stocks increased on Friday as Wall Street sought to finish off a stellar 2023, and the most recent inflation data indicated ongoing deceleration.
By 263 points, or 0.8%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased. The Nasdaq Composite increased 1.4%, while the S&P 500 rose 1.1%.
