As Wall Street began a condensed Thanksgiving trading week, U.S. stock futures rose Monday.
Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 317 points, or 0.7%. S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 futures both saw a 0.5% increase.
The postelection bounce has resumed, and Wall Street is coming off a good week.
The 30-stock Dow had a record closing on Friday after rising almost 2% previous week.
The Nasdaq Composite and the S&P 500 both increased by almost 1.7%. Over the course of the week, the small-cap Russell 2000 increased by almost 4.5 percent.
Scott Bessent, founder of Key Square Group, was indicated as the candidate for Treasury secretary by President-elect Donald Trump.
Investors thought the selection was good and that the hedge fund manager would help the stock market.
