Stocks broadly rose on Friday as Treasury yields declined, helping Wall Street to end a winning week despite increased volatility.
The Dow Jones gained 454 points (0.9%), nearing an intraday all-time high. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq increased by 0.6% each.
The market remains buoyant due to strong Q1 earnings, and falling Treasury yields have eased pressure on valuation multiples.
The 10year Treasury yield dropped 3 basis points to around 4.55%, with the 30-year bond yield also falling 3 basis points to approximately 5.07%.
