As corporate earnings season began, stocks gained on Wednesday, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average posted its longest winning streak in over four years.
The Dow closed at 35,061.21 after trading 109.28 points, or 0.31%, higher. The Nasdaq Composite increased 0.03% to close the session at 14,358.02, while the S&P 500 increased 0.24% to 4,565.72. The Dow experienced its longest winning streak since September 2019 with an eighth straight day of advances.
