The U.S. Department of Justice is looking into claims that Nvidia misused its market dominance in chips for artificial intelligence.
The article released on Thursday states that the DOJ has contacted rivals of Nvidia, such AMD, in an effort to learn more about the concerns.
Investigators are examining if Nvidia charges its clients more for its goods if they choose to purchase AI chips from competitors like AMD.
The DOJ is also investigating whether Nvidia has put pressure on clients to purchase extra items, like cables that link servers, to increase sales.
