As investors abandoned risky assets and worries about the U.S. economy’s prospects grew, Nasdaq-100 futures started to fall on Thursday.
Although S&P 500 futures declined 0.2%, Nasdaq futures saw a 0.5% decline. Futures linked to the DJA were trading close to the zero line.
Fears about the economy reappearing caused investors to sell off prominent technology and semiconductor firms.
All three companies—Meta Platforms, Microsoft, and Alphabet—saw declines of less than 1%, with Nvidia and Advanced Micro Devices suffering significant losses.
