As investors anticipated the conclusion of a losing week and month and awaited important inflation data, stock futures saw a small increase on Friday.
Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average had a 0.4% increase of 154 points. Futures for the Nasdaq-100 and S&P 500 increased by 0.1% and 0.3%, respectively.
It is scheduled to be released at 8:30 a.m. ET. The Federal Reserve’s favoured inflation indicator, the personal consumption expenditures price index.
Consumer price movements are expected to increase by 0.3% from December, for an annualised gain of 2.5%, according to economists surveyed by Dow Jones.
The so-called core PCE, which does not include volatile food and energy costs, is predicted to rise by 2.6% annually and 0.3% monthly.
