As Wall Street attempted to recover from a challenging start to August, stock futures slightly increased on Monday.
S&P 500 futures increased by 0.7%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 56 points, or 0.16%, while those for the Nasdaq-100 increased by 0.25%.
The actions are being taken as markets struggle to maintain their surge from the late summer. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite both decreased last week, by 0.3% and 1.9%, respectively. It was the first two-week losing skid for the Nasdaq Composite in 2019.
However, the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased by 0.62%, marking its fourth consecutive week of gains.
