Google is developing facial recognition technology for office security “to help prevent unauthorised individuals from gaining access to our campuses.”
The initial test is being conducted at one of Alphabet’s campuses in Kirkland, Washington, a Seattle suburb.
Interior security cameras have been gathering face data and comparing it to photographs collected from employee badge images, which comprise the entire workforce, to help establish if there are any unauthorised people on the premises.
