In The SEC’s Legal Disputes With Cryptocurrency Startups

In light of the ongoing legal battle between the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and cryptocurrency companies over whether crypto tokens qualify as securities, Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin predicted that “calm heads will prevail.”

On Thursday, Lubin said on CNBC’s “Capital Connection” programme, “I anticipate that clear heads will triumph with prior technologies like the internet, the web, and cryptography.”

“America will see that cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, and decentralised protocols are compatible with American principles. And a large portion of the rest of the globe, in my opinion, will follow suit, said Lubin, who also serves as the CEO of the blockchain technology firm ConsenSys.

The SEC has filed litigation against cryptocurrency companies like Binance, Coinbase, and Ripple, alleging that they broke the law.
