A mixed bag of huge bank earnings and concerns about U.S. inflation caused the Dow Jones Industrial Average to decline Tuesday.
Nvidia’s advances, meanwhile, helped the Nasdaq Composite. The Dow’s 30 stocks fell 313 points, or 0.5 percent.
After Nvidia stated that it plans to “soon” resume delivery of its H20 GPU sales to China, the chip company’s shares rose more than 4%, causing the Nasdaq to gain 0.5%.
Following a new record high it had set earlier in the day, the S&P 500 fell 0.1%.
