Nasdaq Composite Slides from Record High, Causing Stock Futures to Decline

U.S. stock futures edged lower on Tuesday, signaling a potential continuation of the previous session’s decline on Wall Street.

The futures linked to the Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased by 43 points, or 0.1%. S&P 500 futures saw a 0.3% drop, while Nasdaq-100 futures experienced a roughly 0.7% decline.

Shares of AMD were down by 2% following a report from Bloomberg News indicating that the chipmaker encountered regulatory obstacles that would prevent it from selling an artificial intelligence chip to China. Additionally, GitLab shares plummeted over 20% after the software company issued a disappointing full-year forecast.

Major indices recorded losses on Monday, with the Nasdaq Composite stepping back from its record highs, despite the notable performance of AI leader Nvidia, which closed higher for the session.
