On Monday, The Dow Closed At A Higher Point, Adding 200 Points

On Monday, the Wall Street attempted to recuperate from a week of losses, causing the Dow Jones Industrial Average to surge. The positive shift occurred as investors arranged themselves for a series of inflation-related information scheduled later in the week, and geared up for the 2nd quarter earnings season.

Closing at 33,944.40 points, the Dow added 209.52 points or 0.62%. On the other hand, the S&P 500 finished at 4,409.53 points, rising by 0.24%. Similarly, the Nasdaq Composite saw an increase of 0.18% and closed at 13,685.48, with all the major indices breaking a three-day losing streak.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) report will be released on Wednesday, followed by the Producer Price Index (PPI), which calculates wholesale price pressures, on Thursday.
