OpenAI CEO Sam Altman is scheduled to testify in federal court in Oakland, California, on Tuesday as part of Elon Musk’s lawsuit against OpenAI.
Altman will take the stand after Bret Taylor, the company’s chairman, finishes his testimony.
Taylor discussed OpenAI’s corporate structure and board role on Monday and will re-testify on Tuesday morning.
Musk filed the lawsuit in 2024, accusing OpenAI, Altman, and President Greg Brockman of abandoning their nonprofit and charitable commitments.
Musk, who co-founded OpenAI in 2015 with Altman and Brockman, alleges that his $38 million donation was improperly used for commercial purposes.
