Tuesday saw the Dow Jones Industrial Average reach all-time highs as the market boom spread beyond major technology companies.
With a gain of 487 points, or 1.2%, the Dow set a new intraday record. The Nasdaq Composite fell 0.3% while the S&P 500 increased by 0.2%.
Following earnings that exceeded analyst projections, Bank of America and Morgan Stanley saw increases of more than 4% and 1%, respectively.
As the new reporting season gets underway, these are the most recent well-known brands to release quarterly financial results.
Chief investment strategist at Wolfe Research Chris Senyek told clients on Tuesday, “We feel that markets will start to shift their focus in the coming week to 2Q 2024 earnings season, which we expect to be very solid.”
