The S&P 500 increased on Monday as Wall Street readied itself for a busy week of corporate earnings and anticipated a significant policy statement from the US Federal Reserve.
Both the Nasdaq Composite and the broad market index increased by 0.3%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average remained just over zero.
Following the release of higher-than-expected sales and earnings, On Semiconductor saw a 13.5% increase in stock price, making it the top performer in the broad-market index on Monday.
Once Morgan Stanley rated Tesla’s electric vehicle shares as a top recommendation, the company saw a rise of more than 4.5%.
