S&P 500 Ends Down

Tuesday saw a decline in the broad S&P 500 as it failed to maintain the momentum from the previous session.

With the 10-year Treasury yield reaching record highs this week and ahead of Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell’s important address later this week, investors are still being cautious.

The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite maintained a gain of 0.06% at 13,505.87 while the S&P 500 dipped 0.3% to 4,387.55. With a decline of 174.86 points, or 0.5%, to 34,288.83, the Dow Jones Industrial Average underperformed.
