Early Monday, S&P 500 futures slightly increased amid increasing skepticism that the U.S. and Iran will reach a lasting resolution to their ongoing conflict in the near future.
Futures linked to the broad market rose by 0.16%, while Nasdaq-100 futures gained 0.46%. Meanwhile, Dow Jones Industrial Average futures were trading just below flat.
Iran has indicated it is close to an agreement with Oman to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, but Tehran remains hesitant to engage in direct negotiations with the U.S.
