Ahead of the Federal Reserve’s expected interest rate decision, futures for the S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 edged higher on Wednesday, each rising by 0.2%.
Meanwhile, Dow Jones Industrial Average futures declined by 106 points, or 0.2%, partly due to disappointing earnings from Procter & Gamble.
Investors are closely watching the Fed’s decision and the accompanying press conference with Chairman Kevin Warsh scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.
CME’s FedWatch tool, traders are almost 70% certain that the Fed will keep interest rates steady within the current target range of 3.5% to 3.75%.
